Fuel Up

Eat smart, feel strong. Simple food tips for school days, study nights and everything in between.

What is BMI?

BMI stands for Body Mass Index: a simple way to check if your weight is in the right range for your height.

  • Ages 10 to 19: BMI charts are used separately for boys and girls to check healthy growth
  • Age 20 and above: a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is healthy

Being underweight can lower your body's defences. Being overweight can raise the risk of diabetes and heart disease, even at a young age.

The good news? Eating smart and staying active keeps your BMI healthy.
