Know the facts about STIs and HIV: how they spread, how to stay protected and where to get help.

PEP: Treatment After HIV Exposure

PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is emergency medicine taken after a possible exposure to HIV, for example after unprotected sex or sexual assault.

It must be started as soon as possible, within 72 hours, and taken for 28 days.

Go to an STD clinic or hospital straight away. It's confidential, and staff are there to help, not judge.
